Corrected 22: The problem now was we couldn't find anyone who could help me carry the trunk to the bus stop.
Explanation: After “help,” the base form of the verb (carry) is used, not the past tense or past participle (“carried”).

Corrected 23: At another time of the year, we would have easily found someone to help me, but now most of the villagers were busy in the fields.
Explanation: The past tense “were” is correct to match the past time reference; “is” would incorrectly place the event in the present.

Corrected 24: Nobody had time to spare for me.
Explanation: Past tense “had” matches the narrative’s past timeframe and maintains consistency.

Corrected 25: In fact, carrying the trunk should not have been such a worry for me…
Explanation: “Worry” here is a singular countable noun, so “a” is needed after “such” → such a worry. Without “a,” the phrase is grammatically incomplete.

Corrected 26: After all, I was a government officer and the idea of people seeing me carry my own luggage was not at all amusing.
Explanation: Adding “and” correctly connects the two ideas in one complete sentence, improving flow and grammar.
